Claudio Caverni, originally from Siena, Italy, began his dance training in a small studio in Tuscany, and then graduated in 2021 at Ateneo della Danza. In 2021, he moved to New York to train at The Ailey School, graduating from the Certificate Program. As a student, Claudio performed with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Bird Lives, Festa Barocca, and Chasing the Spirit by Hope Boykin. He also performed in Memoria during AAADT’s 2023 NYC season and at BAM in 2024. Claudio has worked with choreographers like Amy Hall Garner, Ronald K. Brown, Norbert De LaCruz III, Brice Mousset and Renee Robinson, and participated in intensives like FLOCK, Orsolina28 with Juliano Nunes and FLOCK, ChoreoLab at Ballet Hispanico, and Gibney Summer Study. He has performed with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado and joined inDANCE in 2024, premiering Rowdies in Love. He’s also dancing as a guest artist with Marigny Opera Balleta. Claudio is also a choreographer, with his first piece, Exousia, premiered in March 2025 at Spark Theater Festival NYC, and then selected for Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance residency STUDIO TO STAGE, for KODAFE festival, and HOT FESTIVAL! at Dixon Place. Claudio was guest choreographer for Hearts of Men 25 for Earl Mosley Diversity of Dance presenting “Coworkers”.
