Amy Collins


Amy Collins is on the artistic faculty at The University of South Florida, executive director and oboist for the newly formed Tampa Bay Bach Society, has been principal oboist for over twenty years with Opera Tampa, and owns her own corporation. Ms. Collins spends the beginning of her summers teaching and performing at The Governors School for the Arts in Murfreesboro Tennessee. She spends the rest of her summer on the faculty of the InterHarmony Music Festival in Italy and Germany, where she has been featured as a soloist on numerous occasions.     Ms. Collins has also performed with the Hayden Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria in the years past.   In 2007 she was honored to perform for Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican, and was the first instrumentalist to do so since Pope John Paul I. Ms. Collins has played for many nationally recognized groups including, New York City Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Moisiev Ballet. She has also performed with such well- known artists as the Mannheim Steamroller, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, and Josh Groban, to name a few.   Her major teachers include: John Mack and Robert Mayer.
